A guy in New York recently embarked on an amazing gratitude journey based on a single cup of coffee from his neighborhood café.
It took him to five states and two countries, as he attempted to thank every individual who somehow had a hand in getting the cup of coffee to him each morning.
He thanked the baristas, the warehouse workers where the coffee was stored, the makers of the burlap sacks in which the beans were packed, the water quality testers in upstate New York, the farmers — anyone who held a single piece of the vast network of helpers.
Though he could have continued, he decided to stop at 1,000 individuals. 1,000!
Now, this true-life example is pretty extreme. It’s not necessarily a project I recommend. But I DO recommend that you find a way to incorporate gratitude into your business and into your everyday life.
Push yourself to recognize and be grateful for people, things and situations that you may normally take for granted or not notice at all, and not just during the holiday season.
I promise, the more you do it, the more you’ll have to be thankful for, and the more amazing your life and your business will be!
